Thomas Bortner, Psy.D. tbortner@mathomhousecare.com
Dr. Bortner is a licensed psychologist; began his work with Edison Court, Inc. in 2006 as an extern at Mathom House. His doctoral dissertation was based on the Mathom House population, focusing on the relationship between childhood sexual victimization and sexual offending. He returned to ECI in 2007 as a clinical therapist at Mathom House where he is currently completing his postdoctoral fellowship. Dr. Bortner earned a Doctorate of Psychology from LaSalle University; he holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Arcadia University and a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from LaSalle University. He also provides individual and group therapy to outpatient clients. Dr. Bortner is trained in Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Lisa Bradley, M.A. lbradley@mathomhousecare.com
Ms. Bradley began working with Edison Court, Inc. as a clinical therapist at Mathom House in June of 2008. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Sociology from LaSalle University and a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology with a certification in School Counseling from Holy Family University. Ms. Bradley is currently pursuing National Counselor Certification. In addition, she is working in collaboration with colleagues in the development and implementation of new course curricula incorporating sexuality education and counseling the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender population in the graduate psychology program at Holy Family University.

Jonathan Roberds, Psy.D. jroberds@mathomhousecare.com
Dr. Roberds is a Licensed Psychologist and Certified School Psychologist with degrees earned from Muhlenberg College, Immaculata College, and most recently La Salle University.  At ECI, he began his work at Mathom House within the Mirkwood outpatient/ inpatient program in 2001 on a part-time basis; he became a full-time member of the clinical team in 2005. Dr. Roberds became the Clinical Director of Edison Court, Inc. in 2007. His work with children within multiple contexts has included psychoeducational assessment, psychological assessment, individual therapy, group therapy, classroom psychoeducation, and program development. 

Meg Sellers, M.Ed. msellers@mathomhousecare.com
Ms. Sellers began working as a clinical therapist with Mathom House in 1996. She received a Master of Education in Counseling Psychology from Temple University. Ms. Sellers has more than 25 years of experience in the counseling field working with a variety of clients, focusing on trauma victims of all ages. She has extensively used Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) since 2000; she has incorporated its use into her private practice work and her work with offenders at Mathom House.

Nani Rivera-Cox, M.A.

Ms. Rivera-Cox began working with Edison Court, Inc. as a clinical therapist at Mathom House in September of 2010. She received a Bachelor of Science in Social Psychology from Park University and a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Mary’s University. Ms. Rivera-Cox is currently pursuing state licensure. She has experience providing individual, couples, family, and group therapy to adult court mandated clients and their families. She worked diligently to incorporate spouses and/or significant others in therapy to facilitate the reunification of families with the goals of preventing relapse and reinforcing community safety. Ms. Rivera-Cox’s other experience and interests include providing therapy for military service members, veterans, and dependents coping with the familial, marital, and psychological challenges that are unique to the military family.

Kristin DeForest, M.A., L.P.C. kdeforest@mathomhousecare.com
Ms. DeForest is a Licensed Professional Counselor; she has been working with the juvenile sexual offenders population since 1998. She obtained a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Kutztown University and completed additional instruction at LaSalle University. Ms. DeForest began her career working with juvenile offender in foster care who received community-based counseling services. She has facilitated group and individual counseling to both mandatory and voluntary clients. She has facilitated psychological and psychosexual assessments of children, adolescents, and adults for the Court and Child Welfare Agencies. Ms. DeForest is trained in the use and interpretation of the ABEL Assessment for Sexual Interest and has been conducting assessment since 2005. She is a clinical member of ATSA.

Shawn Reid, M.Ed. sreid@mathomhousecare.com
Mr. Reid began working with Mathom House in 1997 as a youth counselor; since that time he has served as shift supervisor at Mathom House, case manager with Ravenhill Psychological Services, and case management supervisor. Mr. Reid has been a clinical therapist at Mathom House since 2007. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Temple University and a Master of Education from West Chester University. Mr. Reid provides individual and group therapy to at-risk youth and adult court mandated clients.

Jennifer Rudy, M.A. jrudy@mathomhousecare.com
Ms. Rudy began working with Edison Court, Inc. in 2006 as a youth counselor at Mathom House; she became a clinical therapist in 2008 where she later transitioned to family therapist. Ms. Rudy received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from James Madison University and a Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy from LaSalle University. Her graduate training involved the utilizing a family systemic approach to explore addiction with the Drug and Alcohol client population. In treatment, Ms. Rudy works from a structural perspective to establish boundaries within families and a Bowenian perspective to identify and explore generational patterns that contribute to the family system.

Dr. Eckhart began working with Edison Court, Inc. as a psychology extern in 2008 and returned in 2011 as a Clinical Therapist.  She earned a Doctorate of Psychology from LaSalle University and holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from LaSalle University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Biology from Washington and Lee University. Dr. Eckhart is currently pursuing her License to Practice Psychology. She has experience providing individual, group, and family therapy to children and adolescents in outpatient, residential, and inpatient settings. Her areas of interest include: assessment, working with victims of trauma, emotion regulation, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
